It’s time to bring out the big guns.
Nestled on the Isle of Islay in Scotland, The Bruichladdich Distillery produces three very distinct single malts: Bruichladdich (unpeated), Port Charlotte (heavily peated) and Octomore (super heavily peated). The Bruichladdich Distillery is seen as quite progressive for proudly doings things a little different. Part of their modern approach to whisky production is the use of non-traditional cask-finishes which includes those used to hold Cognac, Jurançon and Pinot Gris.
