The world renowned whisky house of Nikka, and the history of Japanese whisky both come back to one man, Masataka Taketsuru ‘the father of Japanese whisky’.
Taketsuru left Japan in 1918 to learn the craft of whisky distilling from the experts in Scotland, from which he returned home to crafted Japan’s first whisky at the Yamazaki distillery before establishing the premium whisky house of Nikka in 1934.
Nikka has become Japan’s second largest distiller, producing a wide range of single malts as well as their impressive blended whisky range. The soaring demand for Japanese often outweighs supply meaning these premium whiskies are often incredible hard to find.
Join us and sample some of Nikka’s finest drops at our Nikka Masterclass & Tasting.
